Generation 1 Mathaus Ruoff of Reutlingen married Augusta Wilhelmina Friedrika Lang. They had one known son, Karl August Ruoff. Generation 2 Karl August Ruoff. Born in Horb, Germany August 17, 1832. Karl married Luisa Emilia Häfner on July 1, 1862 in Nürtingen, Germany. She was born in Nürtingen July 7, 1841 to Christoph Friedrich Häfner (Born August 23, 1807. Died March 28, 1879. Both events took place in Nürtingen). Her mother was Carolina Margarth Johanna Dauner (Born March 15, 1817 in Stuttgart, Germany and died December 19, 1894 in Nürtingen). Christoph and Carolina were married May 12, 1840 in Nürtingen. Christoph’s parents were Karl Friedrich Häfner and Rosina Christina Mößner (Mossner). Carolina’s parents were Jahann Jakob Dauner and Christina Elisabetha Roschutz. Karl and Luisa had two known children; Augusta Emilia and Carl August. Generation 3 I: Augusta Emilia Ruoff was born February 2, 1860 in Nürtingen Germany. We know her as Emilie Ruoff. Her family can be found on The Schiltel Family page. II: Carl August Ruoff. Born in Biberach an der Riß, Germany June 14, 1863. Immigrated to America in the 1800's. Married Katherine (Kate) Williams on 09/27/1886 in St. Paul MN. Carl died in Port Angeles WA on 11/17/1945. Kate died in Seattle on 10/17/1945. The children of Carl and Kate were Beatrice, Emilie, Carl, Ted, Walter and Bert. Second wife of Carl August Ruoff - Ida Flavia Nylander. She was born 12/30/188 in Chicago, Illinois the daughter of Gustav and Ida. Ida Flavia died 03/07/1945 in Chicago, Illinois. She had four siblings; Freedolph, Hilma, Mae and Anna. Generation 4 I: Beatrice Ruoff. Beatrice died as a young child and we do not know the dates of her birth or death. It is thought that she was about 2 when she died, possibly from respiratory complications. Ted C. Ruoff also had respiratory problems and said that is why the family moved from Milwaukee to Seattle. We do have a picture of Beatrice in the possession of Frances Ruoff Bellomo. II: Emilie Kate Ruoff was born September 13, 1887. She was married three times but only had two husbands. She married Harlan Glenn Blair and divorced him. She then married the true love of her life, Paul McMahon of Hubbard, Ohio. He died in Port Angeles Washington on October 25, 1934. Later Emilie remarried Glenn Blair. Glenn was born September 14, 1885 in Council Grove, Kansas and died December 28th, 1962 in Seattle WA. Emilie never had any children and spent her time as a seamstress and doting on her nephews and nieces. Emilie died on June 1, 1976 in Seattle Washington. III: Carl August Ruoff Jr. was born Percival Norman Ruoff on September 3, 1892 in Milwaukee Wisconsin. Carl married Lena Mary Kobelt on October 14, 1915 in Everett Washington. Lena had a daughter, Florence Brown. Lena was born in Downieville California on November 16, 1898 to Joseph Kobelt and Stella Rich. Lena had a brother who was given up for adoption in Seattle, Albert Samuel Van Sant. Lena passed away in Port Angeles Washington on June 17, 1940. Carl passed away April 27, 1976 in Santa Rosa California. They had 5 children, Theodore Merton, Clyde Wallace, Dorothy Phyllis, Anita Mae and Gladys Laverne. IV: Theodore Carl Ruoff was born October 9, 1898 in Oshkosh, Winnebago Co., Wisconsin and died 10/09/1996 in Renton, Washington. On July 20, 1932 he married Edith Marion Weydt in Seattle Washington. They had one daughter, Frances Marie Ruoff. He went by Ted C. Ruoff. V: Walter Clarence Ruoff was born March 15, 1901 in Wisconsin and died December 25th, 1962 in San Francisco California. He was in the Navy at one point and then became an electrician. He married Lola Littledike and they had one son, Walter Timothy Ruoff. VI: Albert F. Ruoff. Albert went by the name Bert. Born March 29, 1904. Died 1950 in Seattle Washington. Married Mamie Ruth Bogue in 1932 in Seattle Washington. They had one daughter, Marla Vicki Ruoff. Bert was a bush pilot in Alaska and operated Bristol Bay Air Service. Generation 5 Children of Bert Ruoff and Mamie Bogue I: Marla Vicki Ruoff married James W. (Bill) Drinnon in 1959. They had three children Daniel (1960), Denise (1961) and Michelle (1963). Children of Carl August Ruoff and Lena Mary Kobelt I: Theodore Merton Ruoff born March 14, 1917 in Seattle WA. Died March 25, 1980 in San Francisco CA. Married Rita Catherine Flaherty of Woburn MA on October 30th, 1945 at Saint Alphonsus Church in Seattle WA. She was born October 19, 1915 and died on January 11, 1993 in Auburn WA. They had six children: Mary Dorothy, John Carl, Emma Elizabeth, Rose Anne, Kevin Robert and Theodore Michael. II: Clyde Wallace Ruoff born December 26, 1919 in Seattle WA. Died December 24, 1958 in Tacoma WA. Married Mary Lou McWillis. She was born July 30, 1910 and died December 30, 1956 in Syracuse New York. They had no children but Mary Lou had two children from a previous marriage to Vardon Grey (born 07/21/1908, died 10/05/1977) Douglas E. and Geraldine M. III: Dorothy Phyllis Ruoff born April 7, 1920 in Port Angeles WA. Died June 1944 in Port Angeles. Married (we think) Clarence Morse and they had one child, Wayne Maynard Morse. Also possibly married to Ed Rader. At the time of her death she was married to Edgar G. Snider. Wayne went to live with Clyde and Mary Lou Ruoff after Dorothy’s death. IV: Anita Mae Ruoff born November 16, 1923 in Port Angeles WA. Died October 23, 1955 in Spokane WA. Married Wilson Lester Park on January 11, 1943 in Seattle WA. Lester was born November 10, 1904 in Lyons, Kansas and died December 13, 1980 in Tekoa WA. Children of Anita and Lester are Patricia Ann, James Lester and Glenn Dell. V: Gladys Laverne Ruoff born November 01, 1929 in Port Angeles WA. Died August 11, 1976 in Santa Rosa CA. Married Frederick (Rick) Libhart on September 02, 1950. Rick was born September 12, 1929 in Duluth MN. They had three children. Curtis B. and Carl A. were twins, and then Rich C. Children of Ted C. Ruoff and Edith Marion Weydt VI: Frances Marie Ruoff married Ramon J. (Pete) Bellomo. They have 2 children, Shelley Lynn and Glenn David. Children of Walter C. Ruoff and Lola Littledike. VII: Walter Timothy Ruoff born July 10, 1938. Generation 6 Children of Theodore Merton Ruoff and Rita Flaherty II: John Carl Ruoff married Patricia Mary Hollahan on June 14, 1969. He married Ann Marie Maletic on May 26, 1984. They have one adopted son, Jerimy Sweet. III: Emma Elizabeth Ruoff married James Patrick Hope. He had one daughter from a previous marriage, Carissa Hope. Emma and Jim had one daughter, Cynthia Michelle. IV: Rose Ann Ruoff married Joseph Forman. They had one son, Peter Anthony. Rose married James Homer Richey. He adopted Peter Anthony. V: Kevin Robert Ruoff married Tamarra Lydette Morris. They had four children; Isaac James, Micah Alden, Steelman Carl and Calaya Marie. Children of Anita Mae Ruoff and Wilson Lester Park I: Patricia Ann Park married James Russell Granger. Their son is William Russell Granger. Patricia’s second marriage was to Joseph Morano. II: James Lester Park married Linda Florence Thomas. Their children are James Linn and Kristen Marie. James also married Elena Nina Jimanez Figueroa. Their child is Tina Marie. III: Glenn Dell Park married Denice Holmes. Their children are Shelli Kay and Lisa Suzanne. Their child was Carole Ann Squadrito. Generation 7 Children of John Carl Ruoff and Ann Marie Maletic I: Jerimy Sweet married Monica Baudouin. They had one child, Chinah Victoria. Children Of Rose Ann Ruoff and James Homer Richey I: Peter Anthony Richey married Terri Coapman. They had two children, James Hunter and Seth Joseph. Children of Kevin Robert Ruoff and Tamarra Lydette Morris I: Isaac James Ruoff married Alana Kim Worthington. They have one child, Liam Marcus.
